Sterling Bank Plc has appointed Mr. Manish Singhal as a non-executive director, subject to Central Bank of Nigeria approval (CBN).
This was revealed in a statement issued to shareholders and the investing public on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
Singhal has over 26 years of experience in the financial services industry, according to the bank. He is currently General Manager (Operations) of the International Banking Group (IBG) of the State Bank of India (SBI), where he is in charge of Operations and Information Systems, Human Relations and Expansion Planning, and Strategy.
Among other things, he is in charge of overseeing the implementation of IT-related policies and the activities related to SBI’s IT infrastructure.
Prior to joining SBI, Mr. Manish Singhal was a full-time Director and Chief Financial Officer at SBICAP Securities Limited (a wholly-owned subsidiary and broking arm of the State Bank of India).
Mr. Manish Singhal has held a variety of positions in SBI over the course of his career. He has extensive experience in the following areas: Business Development, Risk Management, Compliance, Customer Service, Human Resources, Administration, and Product Development.
