The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) announced that its most recent hiring process was completed successfully, and the chosen applicants would shortly get appointment letters.
Olufemi Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC, stated in a statement issued on Monday, February 17, 2025, that the process was carried out with the highest fairness, transparency, and rigour, garnering its distinction as one of the top hiring practices in the nation.
Soneye thanked everyone who applied and urged those who weren’t chosen to keep an eye out for further opportunities with NNPC Limited in the future.
He reiterated the company’s dedication to equal opportunity and quality in its employment procedures, intending to create a top-tier energy business.
With more than 45,000 applicants taking a computer-based aptitude exam, the recruitment campaign, which started in July 2024, garnered a lot of interest.
The procedure aimed to fill several jobs in several positions, such as information technology, petroleum engineering, and geosciences.
This is the first hiring process since NNPC was incorporated in September 2021 under the Petroleum Industry Act and changed its status to a limited liability business.
Enhancing the company’s operational efficiency and competitiveness in the global energy sector is the goal of the change.
