Three new partners have been admitted to PwC Nigeria: Tim Siloma (tax and regulatory services), Taiwo Oyaniran (assurance), and Marilyn Obaisa-Osula (consulting and risk services).
According to a statement by PwC Nigeria announcement, their appointment took effect on July 1, 2024.
It was mentioned that this statement, along with PwC Africa’s admission of 15 new partners—of whom 40% are women—marks a major advancement towards the company’s objectives for gender representation in leadership.
In a statement congratulating the new partners, the Country Senior Partner, PwC Nigeria, Sam Abu, said, “Our new partners bring deep expertise and experience in strategic areas that are vital to contributing to Nigeria’s continued growth. As Head of ESG | Sustainability and Climate Change, Obaisa-Osula will oversee the company’s efforts to assist clients in transforming their economies into green, circular, and blue economies throughout West Africa. She has worked in market access, sustainability, and business growth for more than 15 years.
She graduated with a degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Benin, a diploma in Business Sustainability and Sustainable Finance from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a master’s degree in Public and Development Management from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa.
Oyaniran is a seasoned chartered accountant with a great deal of experience gained after being qualified. He oversees the provision of services to international donor agencies, clients in the consumer and industrial goods and services sector, and PwC Nigeria’s agriculture services.
He went on to become PwC Nigeria’s Lead Ethics Officer and PwC Africa’s West Market Area’s Lead Ethics Officer. As a partner, Oyaniran will mentor young professionals while concentrating on growing the company’s market position in consumer and industrial products and services, international donor agencies, and agribusiness.
In addition, Siloma has worked with PwC for more than 15 years as a seasoned tax expert with a focus on tax reporting and strategy. He has 11 years of overseas experience and has worked in Kenya, Nigeria, and the UK. He has made a major contribution to the firm’s tax compliance practice.
According to the company, Tim is an important part of PwC’s Tax Administration Consulting team and improves tax systems for revenue authorities by using technology, people, and process improvements.
He graduated from Strathmore Business School with a CPA degree and the University of Nairobi with an LLB. Tim is an Associate Member of CITN and ICAN, a CPA-K, and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
