President Bola Tinubu has officially appointed Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) Kemi Nanna Nandap as the new Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), effective March 1, 2024.
Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale confirmed the appointment in a statement released on Wednesday. Nandap’s appointment comes as Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju’s term in office expires on February 29, 2024.
Currently serving as the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of the Migration Directorate of the Service, Nandap brings a wealth of experience to her new role.
In his statement, Ngelale stated that President Tinubu expects Nandap to build upon the ongoing reforms within the service and establish a robust framework for delivering efficient and dedicated services to Nigerians. The President also emphasized the importance of strengthening the nation’s security through proactive and effective border security and migration management under Nandap’s leadership.
The appointment of Kemi Nanna Nandap reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring effective leadership and governance in critical sectors of the country.
