The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) Eket office has sealed four filling stations and two petrol stations in the state due to licence non-renewal and low housekeeping standards.
Mr Ikechukwu Eseka, the Authority’s Coordinator, revealed this to reporters during a routine inspection of petrol stations in Uyo on Friday.
“Some of the filling stations are sealed for non-renewal of licenses and poor housekeeping in the state,” he informed me.
Eseka stated that the fuelling stations in the state capital, Uyo, had been sealed. He advised marketers not to underdispense, stockpile, or divert petroleum products.
Again, Eseka said that the Authority was also conducting housekeeping surveillance to ensure that the state’s facilities met the required standards. (NAN)
