In light of the issues faced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria, a business development strategist, Desola Jimmy-Eboma, has established a Small Scale Enterprises (SSE) Lab in Lagos to solve such challenges.
The platform is intended to empower MSMEs by providing mentorship, tools, and resources to help them develop sustainable and scalable enterprises. Speaking at the official launch titled ‘From vision to venture: Unleashing entrepreneurial potential,’ Eboma stated that the lab’s goal is to boost local industries.
She stated: “When I launched my firm four years ago, I was exposed to the plethora of obstacles that small-scale manufacturers in Nigeria encounter, from branding and packaging to navigating intricate distribution systems.
I leveraged my experience in company development and brand strategy to negotiate the complex world of production, marketing, and distribution. In only nine months, I was able to expand my firm and distribute products throughout Nigeria, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
“The plight of MSMEs in Nigeria sparked a strong desire in me to share my expertise and experiences with other enthusiastic individuals looking to develop their unique ideas into marketable goods, since the world needs to see the power and capability of our local industries.
