Last weekend, the Naira was worth N1,725 per dollar, but yesterday it was worth N1,715 per dollar on the parallel market.
But Wednesday, the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market, or NAFEM, saw a depreciation of the Naira to N1,603.16 per dollar.
The naira depreciated by N2.38 last Friday, according to data from FMDQ, which revealed that the indicative exchange rate for NAFEM dropped from N1,600.78 per dollar to N1,603.16 per dollar.
The amount of money exchanged (turnover) in the official market increased from $350.72 million last weekend to $359.22 million, a 2.4% increase.
The difference between the NAFEM rate and the parallel market therefore decreased from N124.22 per dollar last Friday to N111.84 per dollar.
