The Naira rose to N1,660 per dollar in the parallel market Friday, up from N1,665 on Thursday.
Similarly, the Naira rose to N1,531 per dollar on the official foreign currency market.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said that the exchange rate for the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) declined to N1,531 per dollar from N1,548 per dollar on Thursday, suggesting a N17 appreciation for the naira.
As a result, the spread between the parallel market and the NFEM rate increased to N129 per dollar from N117 per dollar on Thursday.
