MTN Nigeria has apologised to its customers for the major network outage that caused internet services to be interrupted in several areas of Lagos State.
Many subscribers were unable to send messages, make calls, or access the internet as a result of the outage, which started on Friday and continued into Saturday.
In a message to affected users, MTN stated:
“Dear customer, we sincerely apologize for the challenges experienced with internet services yesterday in parts of Lagos State. This has been resolved, and services are fully restored. Thank you for your understanding.”
Customers expressed their annoyance at the extended outage on social media, which resulted in numerous complaints.
Since many Nigerians rely on mobile networks for banking and payments, the disruption also affected financial activities.
Customers have received assurances from MTN Nigeria that the problem has been fixed and that services have been fully restored.
Although the corporation has not disclosed the exact cause of the outage, it has reiterated its dedication to averting similar incidents in the future.
