Michael Boulos, a 27-year-old Arab-American entrepreneur, is best known as the husband of Tiffany Trump, the youngest daughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
His connection to the Trump family is not the only thing that sets him apart—he hails from a wealthy Lebanese family with strong business roots in Nigeria.
A Billionaire Heir with Nigerian Heritage
Although born in Houston, Texas, Michael Boulos spent most of his early years in Nigeria, where his family built a business empire. He is the second of four children in a prominent Lebanese household that amassed significant wealth across various industries.
His father, Dr. Massad Boulos, is a key figure behind SCOA Nigeria PLC, a multi-billion-dollar conglomerate with interests in construction, automobile sales, and logistics throughout Africa. Growing up in Lagos, Michael attended the prestigious American International School before pursuing higher education in the United Kingdom.
Tragedy Amidst Wealth
Despite their affluence, the Boulos family has endured devastating personal losses. Michael’s mother, Sarah Boulos, suffered the heartbreak of losing seven close family members within days.
In 2003, a fire claimed the lives of two relatives. Then, on Christmas Day, a plane crash en route to Lebanon took the lives of five more family members, including Sarah’s mother and brother.
Reflecting on the tragedy, Dr. Massad Boulos shared, “It was an awful tragedy for the whole family. Michael was six at the time, and in another country, but it hit everyone.”
Education and Business Endeavors
Michael Boulos pursued a degree in Global Business Management at Regent’s University, London, before furthering his education with a master’s in Project Management, Finance, and Risk at City, University of London.
His father has acknowledged his active role in the family business while also carving out his own entrepreneurial path. “He’s involved in various aspects [of the business], but currently, he’s in the United States working on his own projects,” Dr. Boulos said.
A Life of Privilege and Prestige
Raised among Nigeria’s elite, Michael enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle, often travelling to high-profile destinations like Mykonos, Cannes, and the Greek Islands. His social media presence from his younger years reflects this, including photos of him and his brother Fares posing in their father’s Rolls Royce.
His brother Fares, an aspiring actor, has even had brief appearances in major productions such as *The Crown* and *Fantastic Beasts.*
Although former President Trump has faced criticism over remarks about African nations, Michael has remained publicly supportive of his father-in-law, frequently using hashtags like #KeepMakingAmericaGreat on Instagram.
A Love Story in the Public Eye
Michael’s engagement to Tiffany Trump was widely covered in the media, especially after he proposed with a $1.2 million engagement ring.
Dr. Massad Boulos spoke warmly about the union, describing Tiffany as “a beautiful young woman and a very smart one, too. Michael is very lucky.”
“It’s great news, it’s been an amazing love story, and it will continue to be,” he added.
Now a member of one of the most influential political families in the United States, Michael Boulos continues to navigate both business and public life while maintaining his deep ties to Nigeria.
