Jack Sweeney is an American Programmer and Entrepreneur. The 20 year old, in 2022 became famous for creating Twitter bots for tracking private jets of prominent entrepreneurs like Elon Musk and Russian Oligarchs.
What is a Twitter Bot?
A Twitter bot is a sort of bot software that uses the Twitter API to control a Twitter account. The social bot software can undertake actions including tweeting, retweeting, liking, following, unfollowing, or direct messaging other accounts on its own.
Twitter account automation is governed by a set of automation guidelines that explain proper and improper uses of automation. Proper utilization entails automatically disseminating useful information, automatically generating fascinating or original content, and automatically responding to users via direct messaging. Improper usage includes exceeding API rate restrictions, invading user privacy, spamming, and sockpuppeting.
Twitter bots could be a component of a larger botnet. They can be used to sway elections and spread misinformation.
Twitter’s standards permit non-abusive bots, such as those built as a harmless pastime or for artistic purposes or for the aim of posting useful information.
