Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has announced its plans to migrate to a new core banking application system, which will temporarily disrupt services. The migration will begin on Friday, October 11, 2024, and will continue through Monday, October 14, 2024.
All GTBank branches across the country will close early on Friday, October 11, at 12 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, October 14, at 9 a.m. During this transition, the bank’s digital services will be disrupted from 10 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, until 9 a.m. on Monday, October 14.
However, customers can still perform limited transactions such as transfers, bill payments, and airtime/data purchases.
GTBank stated that this migration to a new Finacle Core Banking Application system is part of its ongoing efforts to improve customer experience through digital transformation.
It said: “Overall, this transition will allow us to drive digital transformation to achieve insights-driven and frictionless interactions at all our; enhancing the quality of customer experience we can deliver to you.”
