Dr. Arube Otor, a popular Isoko highlife artist, plans to marry three women on the same day in Delta State. According to a viral flier, Dr. Arube is dressed in similar clothes with his three soon-to-be wives, Oghenekome, Ewoma, and Oghenekaro, all of whom are from Delta State.
Emperor Efih (Oscar), Arube’s foster son and one of the RSVPs, spoke about the ceremony. According to Efih, the wedding will go forward as planned, however the original plan to marry four ladies was changed after one of the brides-to-be withdrew for personal reasons.
Efih explained the rationale for Arube’s action, saying, “Arube married two ladies roughly 20 years ago. One divorced him, leaving him with only one wife. To save money, he chose to marry four women this year.
“Along the way, one pulled out,” stated as quoted by Punch. Efih also emphasised Arube’s influence in the Delta music scene. “He is Delta’s music legend. He sings Isoko highlife.
He’s worked in the music industry for almost 30 years. However, at the start of his life, he was a driver who combined music with his job.
He was in a band with some other people, but they broke up, so he created his own dance band, Arube, approximately 12 years ago. Since then, he has recorded over ten albums.
