Dangote Cement Plc has trained and graduated 46 solar energy installers and entrepreneurs, further solidifying its position as a catalyst for socioeconomic empowerment and sustainable development in Nigeria.
Azad Nawabuddin, the Plant Director of Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana, stated in a company statement that the recent graduates were prepared to “shake up the nation” in Nigeria’s renewable energy industry.
According to Azad, who spoke at the graduation ceremony held at the Dangote Academy in Obajana, Group President Aliko Dangote is enthusiastic about youth empowerment because it helps the government create jobs. He also mentioned that this training will help provide electricity to the communities and the nation as a whole.
John Gwong, the Head of the Production Department, spoke on behalf of Azad, who characterised the training as futuristic, a rare chance, and a meal ticket.
According to him, the program was a component of Dangote Cement’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
