During the Bojah World grand opening in Lagos, Honourable Omirin Emmanuel Olusanya, a member of the Federal House of Representatives from Atakunmosa East, West/Ilesha East, West of Osun state constituency, stated that President Buhari’s two terms were a waste for the country. He also stated that the eight years of President Buhari were a waste for Nigeria.
Omirin explained how serious the issue is, saying, “We have not begun executing the 2024 budget. This is to provide you an update on the current situation. We’re meant to start preparing for the 2025 budget next month. Fortunately, I serve on the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives.
So I’m aware of what’s going on in the system right now. Reacting to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s speech to protesting youths, Honourable Omirin stated that the President has good intentions for Nigeria. “What I know for sure is that the President has good intentions for Nigeria. However, he may be incapacitated. If you are not present, you will not be aware that it is a hot seat.
“I’m a PDP member. This isn’t a party issue. This is an issue of national concern. We need to pray, encourage him, and provide the necessary legislative support to help the system. Omirin appealed to demonstrators to give the president a chance, saying, “We are all protesting, Nigerians are protesting.”
“However, if hoodlums hijack the protest and cause property damage, it will have a negative impact on citizens. We’re all protesting.”There is a global problem. Economic concerns and challenges exist around the world. The difficulty is that we didn’t save for a rainy day. This is exactly what is happening. However, I still believe that Nigeria is an excellent location to live.
“Nigeria should exercise patience and give the current administration the benefit of the doubt. Our protest will be on election day; let us enable the President to complete his four-year term so that he has no excuse. The next election is approaching; if he does not perform to our expectations, vote him out.
“Two elections are coming up in Edo and Ondo; they can just complain and inform the President that their party is not doing well with their votes, so they will sit tight. But when our people vote for APC in Edo or Ondo, it shows that they are doing well.”
