Former President Muhammadu Buhari has told Jigawa Governor Umar Namadi that the deaths of his mother and son within 24 hours were preordained by God.
He advised him to accept what transpired as Allah’s decision, “who gives and takes away life.”
The statement released by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Friday in Abuja, the former president expressed condolences to Namadi over the phone.
According to Buhari, everybody who believes in humanity will be affected by the dual tragedy.
He advised Namadi to utilise his trial as an opportunity to enhance his faith in Allah and rededicate his life to the causes of his people.
