The Nigeria Malaria Modelling Fellowship (MMF) 2025 is now accepting applications. This fully-funded program aims to enhance the mathematical modelling skills of public health professionals in Nigeria, focusing on malaria epidemiology and transmission dynamics.
The fellowship is a collaborative effort between Corona Management Systems (CMS), the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO), with funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

Eligibility Criteria:

Education: Applicants must hold a master’s degree or higher in fields such as public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or applied mathematics. Specialized training in malaria or other infectious disease control programs is also acceptable.

Experience: A minimum of three years of professional experience and current affiliation with a Nigerian public institution working in One Health (human health, animal health, or environment).

Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, effective communication in English, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Additional Support for Female Candidates:
The fellowship encourages female applicants and offers additional support, including provisions for women with children under 18 months, such as transportation and accommodation assistance for in-person training sessions.
