Applications for the Autumn 2025 Intake of the OIST Japan Internship 2025 are now being accepted. The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology is referred to as OIST. International students can apply for a fully supported internship at the Institute.
The internship will last a minimum of three months and a maximum of six months. The Fall 2025 OIST Internship are October 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
Bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and recent graduates are all eligible for the internship. International applicants are welcome to apply for the program.
One of the well-known internship programs in Japan is OIST. IELTS is not necessary, and there is no application fee.
Under the supervision of the OIST Supervisor, interns will work on the research project. Additional information regarding the internship’s areas, requirements, and benefits can be found below.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students can be from any country. There is no nationality restriction.
- No need for any IELTS or TOEFL Test.
- Applicants who are enrolled in a Graduate Degree program can apply.
- Applicants who are enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree program can also apply.
- Applicants who have recently graduated can also apply.
- Bachelors 3rd year and 4th year and Master 1st year & 2nd year students are particularly encouraged to apply.

- Internship Allowance:Â JPY 2,400/Day

- Accommodation:Â Furnished apartment on or off campus
- Visa Support: OIST will assist in visa acquisition, insurance procedures, and local registration.
