The World Bank Group is now accepting applications for its 2025 Summer Internship Program, a paid opportunity designed to provide graduate students with practical experience in international development.
Eligibility Criteria:

Education: Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree and be actively enrolled in a full-time graduate program (pursuing a master’s or PhD) with plans to continue their studies after the internship.
- Fields of Study: Preferred areas include economics, finance, human development (public health, education, nutrition, population), social sciences (anthropology, sociology), agriculture, environment, engineering, urban planning, natural resources management, private sector development, and other related fields.

Languages: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages such as French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, and Chinese is advantageous.
Internship Details:

Duration: The internship spans 10 weeks, from May 27 to August 4, 2025.
- Location: Interns will work full-time at the World Bank Group headquarters in Washington, D.C.
- Compensation: Interns receive an hourly salary ranging from $21.30 (net for non-U.S. citizens) to $26.00 (gross for U.S. citizens) for a total of 400 hours.

Onboarding: The program includes a customized onboarding week, followed by rotations across various Treasury teams, participation in weekly discussions with the program director, and attendance at a career perspectives speaker series featuring Treasury officers, managers, and directors.
