The Chairman of Globacom Telecommunications, Otunba Mike Adenuga Jr., has been praised by the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for his unrelenting dedication to nation-building, Entrepreneurng report.

On the occasion of Adenuga’s 70th birthday, Tinubu congratulated the business tycoon for all of his contributions to Nigeria’s social and economic development.

The president-elect lauded the Globacom owner’s economic accomplishments in the telecoms, oil, real estate, and aviation industries in the congratulations letter sent by his media officer, Tunde Rahman.

I’d want to congratulate Otunba Mike Adenuga on turning 70, Tinubu stated. Every person is really happy when they reach the biblical age of threescore and ten, and I am grateful to God for allowing this wonderful son of Nigeria and the entire globe to reach the milestone in good health.

“Adenuga is a staunch believer in Nigeria’s greatness and its manifest destiny. He has proven this via his ongoing contributions to our economy, which have resulted in the creation of thousands of jobs and riches for our people through his numerous businesses.”

“I wish him many more years in excellent health to continue benefiting our nation and humanity at large.”

Additionally, Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, praised Adenuga as the “ultimate philanthropist, humane, and urbane” in a message of congratulations he sent on Saturday.

He declared, “Turning 70 has a way of making you feel completely fulfilled. I am aware of it because I have been there. One can only imagine how content you must feel now that you have ascended to the high heights of business and riches and are sitting comfortably atop them as someone who has faced and miraculously overcome the trials of poverty.

They claim that comets only appear once every century. This is your story: our very own dear Dr. Michael Adeniyi Agbolade shola Adenuga Jr., GCON, one of Africa’s most celebrated sons, a business guru, a sports mascot, and above all, a true, sincere, and devoted family man.

“You rose to the rostrum of wealth and glory by force of hard labor, perseverance, honesty, and integrity seven graceful decades ago in South West Nigeria. Your dedication and perseverance, as well as your vision and objective, are unmatched. It was no surprise that you made your first million while under the age of 30 given those exceptional qualities, as you sold clothes and soda (soft drinks).”

In a similar vein, Adenuga was praised for his dedication to nation-building and the expansion of Nigeria’s economy by the governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in a statement released on Saturday and signed by his chief press secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile.

He stated, “I join family, friends, and business associates in congratulating one of Nigeria’s business titans, Otunba Mike Adenuga, on his 70th birthday celebration on behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, the Lagos State Government, and the wonderful people of Lagos State.

“Otunba Adenuga is a philanthropist and one of Nigeria’s business leaders who has helped millions of Nigerians through his enterprises all over the country. As a skilled businessman and an employer of labor, he has made a significant contribution to the economy of Nigeria and Lagos State in particular.”

“He is an iconic businessman, a legendary philanthropist, and one of the luckiest Nigerians to have been decorated with the second highest national honor of Nigeria (Grand Commander of the Niger) due to his many accomplishments and contribution to the nation.”

The governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, likewise referred to Adenuga as a business legend who had elevated Nigeria and his state in a statement released on Saturday by his chief press secretary, Kunle Somorin.

He remarked that the Ijebu-Igbo-born telecom entrepreneur has made significant contributions to the nation’s telecommunications sector.

In conclusion, Abiodun continued by saying that the Chairman of Globacom looked well at seventy years old and that the state will continue to recognize his accomplishments both within and outside of the nation.
