The $600,000 pre-seed round of PressOne Africa, a startup with a solution that enables entrepreneurs to track all calls while on the go, has closed.
According to a statement from the company, Ventures Platform led the round, which also included Voltron Capital and a number of outstanding angel investors.
PressOne, which was established by Mayowa Okegbenle and Opeyemi Shokunbi, offers superior reporting and call monitoring to help business owners extract the most value possible from each client conversation.
The press release claims that business owners can, just like large corporations, remotely monitor all client phone conversations made by staff or team members using the PressOne app.
Unoma Adeyemi, the company’s chief commercial officer, declared that the organization would continue to strive to assist business owners in running their companies more successfully after the $600,000 pre-seed closed.
Adeyemi said, “When entrepreneurs know that their customers are well taken care of, and they can monitor business call conversations from anywhere, they are able to do more. Our goal is to see entrepreneurs grow their businesses through better customer communication without losing their peace.”
She observed that although there had been a boom in message innovation, phone conversations were still the main route for establishing new client contacts and completing transactions.
She asserts that companies that focus on their customers do better because they pay attention. She continued by saying that this would be helpful to business owners whose companies frequently received calls from customers because they would now have a better understanding of what occurs between the customers and their staff, enabling them to take corrective action to increase sales and stop customer churn.
TheFounding Partner of Ventures Platform, Kola Aina, said, “We are excited to be backing PressOne. We believe that the most compelling technology solutions on the continent will empower small and medium businesses with tools and services that enable them to reduce churn, increase their user base and revenue.
“When we first met Mayowa Okegbenle and Ope Shokunbi, PressOne’s co-founders, we were immediately struck by their technical expertise and their singular mission to enable businesses to listen to their customers.”
The CTO of PressOne, Opeyemi Shokunbi said, “We built our platform to democratise the complex technology of owning a business phone number that allows entrepreneurs to manage all customer interactions on a single platform, share one business number with team members, receive multiple calls at the same time and with the same number from multiple devices anywhere”.
PressOne, according to the statement, gives business owners more visibility and control over their customers’ interaction, enabling them to boost customer retention and satisfaction rates.
In order to develop the solution, hundreds of business owners participated in PressOne’s beta program, which was started in June 2022, it was further stated.
