As part of its community social responsibility, Vitafoam Nigeria Plc gave corporate gifts to the first infants of 2023 at Lagos Island Maternity Hospital in Lagos.
The business reaffirmed its dedication to helping the less fortunate, particularly in the health and education sectors.
In a statement, Vitafoam claimed that on January 1st, 2023, it gave gifts to the year’s first three babies.
The first baby, who arrived at precisely 1.15 am, received a baby cot mattress, complete baby comfy, nursing pillow, and nursing cover; the second baby, who arrived at 1.30 am, received a baby cot and mattress, complete baby comfy; and the third baby, who arrived at 1.45 am, received a baby cot and mattress. All of them were female.
Vitafoam’s Commercial Director, Sola Owoade, said, “We so much believe in maternal healthcare. We are always here every first day of the year to look after the children and present a token to the babies of the year and their parents.
“We also see this as an opportunity to say thank you to healthcare workers, for ensuring the safety of mothers and babies.
“Vitafoam as a brand has its corporate social responsibility policy centered on healthcare, education and community development. Despite the low purchasing power in the country, Vitafoam did not relent in its effort to give back to society.
“In view of this, Vitafoam donated a block of four classrooms to a primary school in Ibaram, in Ondo State, which was recently commissioned and a block of four classrooms soon to be commissioned in Borno State.”
The first child’s parents were Mr. Rafiu Muhammed and Mrs. Mojisola; the second child’s parents were Mr. Oladayo Ojo and Mrs. Oluwaseun; and the third child’s mother was Mrs. Ebuka. The recipients expressed appreciation to the management of Vitafoam for the gifts.
Mrs. Oluwatoyin Champion, the hospital’s top nurse, praised Vitafoam’s board and management for keeping their promise to give its high-quality products to the families of the first three babies of the year.
