The African Union Commission is now accepting applications for its 2025 Internship Program, offering students and recent graduates from AU member countries a chance to gain hands-on experience at the continental level.
The program runs for at least three months, with the possibility of a three-month extension depending on performance. Interns work full-time in departments like Peace & Security, Agriculture, Trade, Infrastructure, Women & Youth, among others.
Who is eligible?

Must be an AU member state national

Aged 32 or younger at selection time

In the final year of a bachelor’s program or holder of a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree

Fluent in at least one AU working language (English, French, Arabic, or Portuguese)

High moral character, with no record of serious criminal offences.

Cost & Support:
The internship is unpaid. Interns cover their travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses. The African Union provides no stipend but will confirm successful applications via email.
