Lagos is set to welcome top procurement and supply chain leaders from across the continent as it hosts the 7th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Summit on July 3–4, 2025. The two-day event will spotlight the future of procurement in Africa, with a focus on innovation, impact, and sustainable development.
Titled “Driving Impact through Innovation: The Future of Procurement & Supply in Africa,” the summit will bring together policymakers, corporate leaders, and procurement professionals to address pressing challenges and chart new directions for supply chain efficiency.
Dr. Clever Ruswa, President of the African Public Procurement Network (APPN) and CEO of Zimbabwe’s Procurement Regulatory Authority (PRAZ), will headline the event with a keynote speech. Ruswa is expected to provide strategic insights on how Africa can enhance governance, increase transparency, and foster competitiveness in public procurement systems.

“This summit provides a vital opportunity to elevate procurement standards across the continent,” Ruswa noted, stressing the role of innovation and collaboration in unlocking Africa’s economic potential.
The APPN, under Ruswa’s leadership, represents procurement institutions from 46 African countries and continues to advocate for reforms that merge global best practices with Africa’s specific needs. Ruswa, who has held executive positions in finance, infrastructure, and development banking, brings a wealth of experience to the summit stage.
Other featured organisations include MTN, Ghana’s National Petroleum Authority, Volta River Authority, and Flour Mills of Nigeria. Attendees can expect a robust exchange of ideas, case studies, and actionable frameworks tailored to modern procurement realities.
Organisers say the summit will serve as a dynamic hub for collaboration, offering participants a chance to benchmark practices, navigate current challenges, and shape a resilient, tech-enabled future for Africa’s supply chain ecosystem.
