Accomplish Magazine has recognized Ambassador Professor Adaeze Juni Menakaya as a distinguished educator, gender advocate, content creator, and faith-based leader.
With a strong background in educational psychology and women’s studies, she has been featured in the March 2025 edition of the magazine as part of the celebrations for International Women’s Day, which is observed annually in March.
Professor Menakaya has been a tireless advocate for women’s rights, education in underserved communities, and faith-based empowerment initiatives.
Her extensive work with the United Nations includes serving as a program coordinator for Friends of the Mission of Grenada to the United Nations under *My Sisters’ Health Watch* (2014-2016).
She has also been a UN representative and consultant to NGOs with special consultative status, attending UN meetings, presenting key statements, and leading advocacy efforts focused on the girl-child and gender-based violence. Her contributions have been widely applauded for their measurable impact.
Among her initiatives are ‘Ruth Sisters’ Fellowship International’ and ‘Gender Faith Training and Education’, both aimed at prioritizing education in rural communities.
She is committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has access to quality education. Through her advocacy, she continues to push for sustainable policies that empower girls and young women, bridging the education gap in disadvantaged areas.
Speaking on International Women’s Day in the ‘March Edition’ of Accomplish Magazine, Professor Menakaya emphasized the need to go beyond celebration and address real challenges affecting women.
This year, ‘Ruth Sisters’ Fellowship International’ is launching a global campaign on hunger solutions, encouraging women to embrace agricultural self-sufficiency as a means to combat food insecurity.
She stated emphatically: “My ultimate vision is for a sustainable world where women are empowered, children are educated, and communities thrive. If we set up strong platforms today, the next generation will not be as confused as many young people are today.”
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is “All Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, Empowerment.” In its March edition, Accomplish International Magazine highlights several prominent women, including:
– Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf – Africa’s first democratically elected female leader
– Professor Elizabeth Mary Isichei – A historian committed to preserving African history and culture
