The Leading African Women in Food Fellowship (LAWFF) is now accepting nominations for its 2025 cohort. This fellowship aims to amplify the voices and work of young African women making outstanding contributions across the food ecosystem.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 25-45 years
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in the agri-food sector
  • Impact: Demonstrable contributions to the field
  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of an African country
  • Residency: Must reside in an African country at the time of application

Nominations are welcomed from across the African continent, celebrating the diversity of women in the food industry.

Selection Process:

An expert panel will conduct a comprehensive review of all nominations to identify candidates who have made groundbreaking contributions to the food and agriculture sector.

In previous years, LAWFF has recognized exceptional women from various African countries for their significant impact on the agri-food sector. For instance, in 2023, 25 women were selected from a competitive pool of 640 nominations across 12 countries. The 2024 fellowship expanded its reach, honoring 30 women from 639 nominations spanning 10 countries.
