A two-day capacity-building program has been launched by the Enugu State Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Industrialisation for fifty extension agents, lead farmers, and pertinent ministry personnel.
The training emphasises digital record-keeping, computer appreciation, and Microsoft Office program competency.
This project, which was held at the Enugu State Tech-Hub in Independence Layout, Enugu, is in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s e-governance plan and aims to replace manual agricultural practices with digital ones.
Commissioner Patrick Ubru stressed the value of using new technology to improve information collection and distribution, which will ultimately increase farmers’ output.
It is recommended that participants make use of these digital technologies to expedite the acquisition and storage of data, guaranteeing effective access and future reference.
