The AWF Charles R. Wall Youth Leadership Program invites passionate young African professionals to apply for the 2025 cohort. Seize this opportunity to gain invaluable experience, connect with like-minded changemakers, and drive transformative change across Africa.

Available Opportunities for 2025

1. Policy Fellows (15 Positions)

Become part of the Charles R. Wall Young African Policy Fellows initiative in collaboration with the UN Environment Program, focusing on influencing international biodiversity governance.

  • Program Highlights:
    • Hands-on training in International Environmental Governance, with a focus on the Convention on Biological Diversity.
    • Duration: 9 months.
    • Deadline: January 15, 2025, at 3:59 PM.
  • Eligibility:
    • Aged 20–35 years.
    • Nationals of African countries currently living and working in Africa.
    • Interest in policy issues related to international environmental governance and biodiversity.
    • Experience in sectors such as environmental sciences, social sciences, or international relations.
    • Basic English proficiency for Francophone applicants.
  • How to Apply:

2. Conservation Leadership & Management Fellows (15 Positions)

Develop leadership and management skills to effectively implement conservation initiatives and lead environmental actions.

    • Build personal, team, and organizational leadership capabilities for transformational impact.
    • Deadline: January 15, 2025, at 3:59 AM.
  • Eligibility:
    • Aged 20–35 years.
    • Nationals of African countries currently living and working in Africa.
    • Practitioners in conservation or related fields, such as research, science, HR, finance, law, fundraising, or community engagement.
    • Minimum of a diploma in any field.
    • Basic English proficiency for Francophone or Lusophone applicants.
  • How to Apply:

    3. Share your genuine leadership journey and contributions to conservation efforts.
