Following the House of Assembly’s passage of the appropriation bill, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke emphasised the measure’s value of N427 billion on Monday. The Governor presented a proposed budget of N390 billion to the House of Assembly, but lawmakers increased it to N427 billion.
Speaking after signing the bill on Monday in the Governor’s Office’s Executive Council Chamber, the Governor directed the ministries and parastatals to begin working towards its full implementation. “As we begin the new fiscal year, and in accordance with due procedure and tradition, it is my privilege and honour to sign Budget 2025 into law.
“For the record, the budget I’m signing today is titled “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation”. The 2025 budget amounts to ₦427,746,925.170.00. “As a result, I direct Ministries, Agencies, and Departments to strongly pursue implementation for the benefit of the residents of the state. Our budget performance must remain respectable on a quarterly basis.
“I further direct the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget and Development to as usual monitor the implementation processfor delivery according to targetsand expectations” , the prime minister stated.
The Governor assured the people of his commitment to ensure that the implementation of his five-point plan is governed by the Appropriation Law of 2025.
