Africa continues to shine on the global stage in 2024, with trailblazers across various fields driving progress and innovation.

Recognising their contributions, New African magazine has released its annual list of the 100 Most Influential Africans, celebrating outstanding achievements in politics, business, sports, science, and the creative arts.

Among those honoured are prominent names such as Wale Tinubu, nephew of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Aliko Dangote, Africa’s wealthiest man; and celebrated footballer Ademola Lookman.

These individuals, alongside others, embody the resilience and ingenuity of the African spirit, influencing lives both on the continent and globally.

Anver Versi, editor of the London-based magazine, highlighted the significance of the list, stating, “We need this because I cannot recall the world being so polarised, so divided, so stone-faced in the face of terrible man-made atrocities.”

The magazine further noted, “The 100 Most Influential Africans of 2024 edition of New African offers an in-depth look at the lives and achievements of the extraordinary individuals shaping the African narrative on the continent and abroad.
