The 2024 version of the Crave Fest Junk Food Festival will take place on December 14, 2024 in City Park in Wuse 1. The event, which will include live music, games, and a family-friendly atmosphere, promises to be jam-packed with delicious food. Crave Fest was founded by mother and son Falnyi Tehilah Shadrack and Destiny Praise, following the success of their homemade ice cream venture, Eleeshas Icecream.
Falny discussed the festival, stating that the success of Elees inspired the idea of a pop-up event to exhibit exclusive ice cream varieties. According to Falnyi, “the idea evolved, and soon Crave Fest was born, a larger vision that would bring diverse vendors together in a celebration of food, community, and culture.” Crave Fest will showcase the finest of Abuja’s bustling food culture, with an intriguing mix of exhibitors and exclusive delicacies, as well as a full day of entertainment.
“From games and live music to lively festival vibes, this event seeks to create amazing memories while also celebrating the innovation, passion, and diversity of Nigerian cuisine culture.
“Attendees can expect an eclectic selection of junk food options, music, fun activities, and special treats from unique vendors,” she explained. She went on to say that Crave Fest allows foodies and lifestyle enthusiasts to indulge, try new flavours, and interact with others in a lively, family-friendly environment.
“Crave Fest is more than simply an event; it is a community. The festival’s mission is to bring people together through a common love of cuisine, creating a lively setting that encourages interaction, discovery, and enjoyment,” she explained.
