Through international internship opportunities, the UNICEF Internship Program gives students and recent graduates from a variety of academic backgrounds the chance to get practical experience with UNICEF.
In addition to meaningful internship experiences that will aid in their academic, professional, and personal growth, UNICEF offers its interns hands-on learning opportunities in the humanitarian sector.
Students and recent graduates have the chance to obtain firsthand, real-world work experience through our internship program.
- Duration of Internship: An internship typically lasts six to 26 weeks. Both full-time and part-time internships are possible.
- Expenses we cover: Interns get a monthly stipend from UNICEF. When funds are available, a one-time lump sum payment may also be made to help with travel and visa expenses.
- Visa: UNICEF will supply pertinent supporting documentation for our visa applications if needed.
Requirements
If your profile satisfies the following criteria, it might be a suitable fit:
- At least 18 years old.
- Currently enrolled in a graduate, undergraduate, or doctorate program, or have completed one within the last two years.
- Proficient in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages: English, French or Spanish. Fluency in the working language of the office you are applying to, may also be required.
- Neither your mother, father, sister, brother or any other family members in your reporting line of authority are employed by UNICEF.
- Have strong academic performance and motivation
Any professional experience that is pertinent to the position you are applying for will be given further weight.
