Mrs. Modupe Temitope Dada had passed away after a brief illness. She is the wife of Mr. Mike Dada, Executive Producer and President of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Duchess Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos.

Born in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, on May 5, 1976, Mr. Dada, also the Managing Director of PRM Africa Marketing and Communications, expressed his thoughts on his late wife’s dedication to family values, community service, inclusivity, and her profound love for God and Africa in a statement released on Monday by the AFRIMA International Secretariat.

“We, the Dada family, confirm the passing of our wife and sister, Modupe Temitope Dada, also known as Dupsy, Mama Africa, with unfathomable grief,” Mr. Dada said. She was a devoted and sincere mother and wife. Throughout her life in the banking and entertainment industries, she brought affection and compassion that we have come to cherish.”

The family has submitted to the will of Almighty God and requested prayers and support from kind-hearted persons at this trying time. “Her passing has left a void that will be impossible to fill,” he continued.

A Service of Songs is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 5:00 PM (WAT) at Grace Assembly, Yard 158, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun-Ikeja, Lagos State, as part of the burial plans that have been revealed. On Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM (WAT), a farewell service will be performed at the same location. A private burial will thereafter take place. Those who would like to attend the farewell service are encouraged to watch it live on AFRIMA channels.

Modupe Dada, a successful bank executive and former Vice-President of AFRIMA, is survived by her husband, two children, siblings, and many other family members. Her African friends and fans will remember her for her limitless love, selflessness, and compassion. AFRIMA appreciates the outpouring of condolences and support from around the world.
