In an effort to promote economic cooperation and strengthen bilateral trade and investment between Nigeria and China, the Suzhou Chamber of International Commerce and the NigeriaAviation Handling Company Plc, also known as nahco aviance, have inked a Memorandum of Understanding, or MoU.
The goal of the program is to create the China-Nigeria (Suzhou) Logistics Park in order to boost investment opportunities, enhance logistics infrastructure, and enable smooth trade. Additionally, the China-Nigeria (Suzhou) Logistics Park would be a major facilitator of smooth trade, enhancing the infrastructure for logistics, and expanding investment prospects.
“This agreement represents a pivotal moment for NAHCO and indeed for Nigeria,” stated Dr. Seinde Fadeni, Chairman of NAHCO Plc, in remarks regarding the arrangement. Through our partnership with the Suzhou Chamber of International Commerce, we are creating new channels for economic growth, technological transfer, and knowledge sharing.
“We are delighted to enter into this cooperation with NAHCO,” stated Mr. Lin Xie, President of the Suzhou Chamber of International Commerce. This collaboration is in line with China’s objective of developing links with African countries that benefit both parties.
Suzhou would serve as the initiative’s focal point and encourage strong economic ties between China and Nigeria as a centre for China’s modernisation of its agriculture, consumer products, electronic appliances, cloud computing, and transportation sectors.
Additionally, the deal would expand investment opportunities and enhance the logistics infrastructure.
The parties’ Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) highlights the growing significance of large Nigerian organisations, such as NAHCO, in promoting trade relationships with China, with the aim of advancing high-level collaboration and strengthening strategic connections between the two nations.
