The entire value of pension assets has increased to N20.79 trillion, according to the National Pension Commission, or PenCom.
This information was revealed on Tuesday in Lagos during the Commission’s quarterly consultative meeting for states and the Federal Capital Territory, FTC, Pension Bureau, by Ms. Omolola Oloworararan, acting director general of PenCom.
“Pension fund assets under the Contributory Pension Scheme, CPS, continue to grow,” she states. “
As of July 2024, total assets under management soared to ₦20.79 trillion.” We are happy to see that States are consistently sending in contributions; from January 2020 to the second quarter of 2024, States sent in about ₦236.7 billion.
