The August stipend payments to students were delayed, and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) blamed this on “payment processing.” The students’ loan organisation clarified in a statement released on Thursday by Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, Director of Corporate Communications, that it is carrying out the essential security measures to safeguard public monies and guarantee that they are appropriately distributed to the intended recipients.
In order to achieve this, it made a plea to the students who would benefit from it to be patient as it attempts to complete the payout with the same degree of care that has characterised its operations thus far.
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund, or NELFUND, desires to notify students that the reason for the August stipend delay is continuing payment processing, according to the statement. In order to safeguard public funds and make sure they are appropriately distributed to the intended beneficiaries, the Fund is carrying out the required security checks.
“We understand that this procedure may cause some inconvenience, but it is a necessary part of our commitment to upholding the integrity of the student loan program and to preserving accountability and transparency.”
As a result, we kindly request your patience and understanding during this time while we work to complete the payout with the same degree of care that has guided our operations up to this point. “Our goal to empower students and improve access to higher education throughout Nigeria is one we will never waver from.
“The fund is making every effort to finish the distributions as quickly as feasible. “We value the input provided by students and are happy with their level of involvement and attention to detail in tracking the advancement of the maintenance payments.
