Yesterday, the Naira fell to N1,610 per dollar in the parallel market, down from N1,600 per dollar last Friday.
Similarly, it fell to N1,596.6 per dollar in the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market, or NAFEM.
According to FMDQ data, the indicative exchange rate for NAFEM increased to N1596.6 per dollar from N1,570.14 per dollar last week Friday, suggesting a naira depreciation of N26.46 percent.
The volume of dollars transacted (turnover) in NAFEM decreased by 17.3 percent to $102.93 million from $120.81 million the previous weekend.
As a result, the gap between the parallel market and the NAFEM rate dropped to N13.4 per dollar, down from N29.86 per dollar the previous weekend.
