Aliko Dangote – Africa’s Richest Man Loses Brother

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, is in mourning over the death of his brother – Sani Dangote, who died in the late hours of yesterday.

According to confirmed sources, the brother of the African billionaire died in the United States, where he was receiving treatment for a brief illness.

Before his death, Sani Dangote was the Group Vice President of The Dangote Group, where he assisted his brother Aliko to pilot the affairs of the multi-billion dollars corporation.

Confirming to the news, The Dangote Group released a short statement this morning, saying:

“INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHI RAJIUN!It is with a heavy heart but with total submission to Almighty Allah that we announce the passing on of our Group Vice President, Alhaji Sani Dangote, today, 14th November 2021.

 

“May Allah SWT grant him mercy and Admit him in Aljannat-al-Firdaus!”

According to reports, Sani had huge investments in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Banking.

In addition to being the Group Vice President of The Dangote Group, Sani Dangote was also the Deputy Chairman of the African Gum Arabic Producers Association. He has also served as a two-time President of Lagos Polo Club.

Sani was also a pioneer member of several Chambers of Commerce, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Shipping of Nigeria, and President of the Fertilizer Producers and Suppliers Association (FERSAN).

May the good Lord grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss, amen.
