Adesuwa Ladoja has been named the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Lagos Free Zone Company.

The conglomerate Tolaram’s board of directors issued a notice announcing her appointment.

Her appointment became effective on July 1, 2024.

Mrs. Ladoja succeeds Dinesh Rathi, who has transitioned to the role of Group Finance Director for the parent company.

Here are some important details to know about her:

Ladoja, an attorney, began her career in general commercial practice and litigation as an associate with Ajumogobia & Okeke. She then spent over a decade at KPMG Professional Services, specializing in tax, regulatory, and people services.

Ladoja earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and her Master of Laws degree in International Business Law from King’s College, University of London.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, various other professional organizations, and a Notary Public of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Ladoja was quoted in the letter by the board as saying, “I am honoured to be given this opportunity, and I look forward to continuing the good work done by Dinesh and the team at LFZ in creating a unique industrial ecosystem which places sustainability and customer-centricity at its core. Lagos Free Zone with its integrated Lekki Port is the perfect illustration of what ease of doing business represents and we look forward to hosting more companies.”

The board, recognizing Ladoja as a versatile expert, expressed confidence that her extensive experience will significantly contribute to the growth and innovation objectives of the Lagos Free Zone Company.

Furthermore, the board noted that Ladoja played a pivotal role in the Lekki Deep Sea Port project, overseeing its financial closure in 2020, the completion of construction in 2022, and the commencement of commercial operations in 2023.
