According to a research, Nigeria is ranked 33rd out of the 10 most stressful countries in Africa for 2024. Stress levels are particularly high in Africa as a result of a confluence of social problems, political unrest, and economic difficulties.
A CEOWORLD magazine analysis listed the world’s most stressed-out nations, with a number of African countries coming in high on the list. This report offers insights into the global mental health landscape by comparing 211 countries and territories across four categories: work-related stress, money-related stress, family-related stress, and health- and safety-related stress. It also highlights which countries are performing well and which require improvement.
With a stress score of 45.68, South Sudan is the most stressful nation in Africa, per the research. With a score of 45.8, Burundi comes in second, followed by the Central African Republic, which comes in third with a score of 46.07.
The CEOWORLD research state that, money, the economy, and health problems were the leading causes of stress in the world in 2023. The data is useful in determining whether nations are doing a good job of controlling population stress and where the greatest demand is for mental health services.
