Manchester City and Arsenal are battling it out for the English Premier League (EPL) championship as the race to win heats up. Liverpool is also still very much in the running.
With 80 points, Arsenal is now leading the pack in the Premier League. Manchester City is next with 79 points and a game remaining. This season, Mikel Arteta’s team has performed admirably, continuing where they left off from the previous campaign and making sure they don’t make the same mistakes that caused the League title to sadly escape their grasp.
In contrast, Manchester City is well-versed in this tournament and has a good chance of accomplishing a feat that no other side has ever accomplished: winning the Premier League four times in a row.
However, they will need to win all four of their remaining games in the current campaign, and the championship will stay at the Etihad, in order to accomplish that.
With just one point from their past three games, Liverpool is struggling to stay in the top two spots and their season is almost finished.
Whatever the case, these five forthcoming games will most certainly determine who becomes the new champion of England in less than three weeks:
Man United vs. Arsenal (12 May)
This is the biggest game left for Arsenal in the current campaign. Arsenal will travel to Old Trafford for a match that could determine whether or not they finish the season trophyless.
Arsenal vs. Everton (19 May)
Should Man City struggle in their remaining games and they have a perfect run-in to close the league, Arsenal supporters will hope that this day will be the day they get to lift the English Premier League at the Emirates for the first time in 20 years. However, it will be unrealistic to expect an easy game against a revitalised Everton team that will want to finish the season strong.
Fulham vs. City (May 11)
Any club can be put in danger by Fulham, so it’s best to stay away from them, especially if you’re vying for a significant trophy. But Pep Guardiola has them on his mind and will strategize his team to overcome them for a flawless championship run.
City vs. Tottenham (May 14)
Football Games
The brilliant game that gives Manchester City a tiny advantage in the standings. This appears to be the “final” of the Premier League season, and Manchester City knows they will need to fight hard to overcome a squad that is fervently pursuing a Champions League ticket in a challenging venue like the Tottenham Stadium.
West Ham vs. Man City (19 May)
Similar to Arsenal vs. Everton, Man City could win the Premier League for the fourth time in a row if they overcome West Ham at the Etihad on the last day of the season without losing first.
