With the commencement of production at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, the company has officially registered three prominent oil marketers as its initial distributors. In a statement on Tuesday, the Dangote Group announced the successful registration of members from three major associations: the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria.
The statement emphasized the significance of these associations, collectively representing 75% of the total market share in Nigeria. These reputable organizations underline the strategic partnerships the Dangote Petroleum Refinery formed.
“While the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, and the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria have been registered, the refinery continues to evaluate and consider other marketers expressing interest in collaboration,” the post stated.
The post did not provide specific details about when the refinery’s products would be available in the market, leaving this aspect to be clarified in future updates. The registration of these major oil marketers signifies a significant step forward for the Dangote Petroleum Refinery as it establishes key partnerships for distributing its products in the Nigerian market.
