Leading the charge in trading were significant stocks, including SEPLAT and BUA Cement, both gaining 10%, while Dangote Cement closely followed with a 9.98% increase.
Reflecting the bullish trend, equities saw a substantial uptick of N1.445 trillion, boosting the market capitalization to N51.735 trillion, up from yesterday’s N50.29 trillion.
This surge contributes to one of the highest weekly gains ever recorded by the NGX, marking a notable 13.8% appreciation in a single week. The week’s outstanding performance adds to the NGX’s year-to-date returns, totaling an impressive 26.4%.
Despite a 25.9% decline in trading volume to 844.49 million units and a 22% dip in trading value to N15.04 billion, compared to the previous day’s figures, the overall market sentiment remained optimistic.
