Comedian Kevin Hart finds himself entangled in a legal skirmish with YouTuber Tasha K, known by her real name Latasha Kebe, as she stands accused of attempting extortion through a high-profile interview with Hart’s former assistant. In a lawsuit recently acquired by Page Six, it is alleged that Kebe, in November 2023, conducted an interview with Miesha Shakes, Hart’s ex-assistant. During this interview, Shakes purportedly divulged information that included false and defamatory statements regarding Hart, delving into sensitive aspects of his personal life and business dealings.

The plot thickened in December when Kebe reportedly reached out to Hart’s representatives, disclosing the existence of the interview and making an audacious demand for a substantial ransom of $250,000. The lawsuit contends that Kebe explicitly hinted at a form of “ransom” and threatened to release the interview if Hart did not accede to her financial demands, Kevin Hart.

In a bold stand against the alleged extortion attempt, Hart opted for legal recourse. The lawsuit levies charges against Kebe, accusing her of intentional interference with contractual relations, invasion of privacy, and defamation. In a parallel legal move, Hart is also pursuing legal action against Shakes, citing breaches of contract and defamation.

Bryan Freedman, the attorney representing Hart, vehemently asserted, “Mr. Hart will not be bullied or extorted.” In a press release, Freedman further stated, “The claims in Ms. Kebe’s interview are demonstrably false, and we will be taking swift legal action to protect Mr. Hart’s reputation and interests.”

This legal tussle is not Kebe’s first brush with legal troubles stemming from her online content. In 2019, she faced a defamation lawsuit filed by rapper Cardi B, resulting in a verdict that found her liable and ordered her to pay a significant sum of $4 million in damages.

Conclusion : Kevin Hart

As the legal drama unfolds, it remains to be seen how the courts will weigh the allegations and counterclaims, and how this chapter in the ongoing saga between celebrities and online content creators will ultimately play out, Kevin Hart.
