Yuletide, The Family Care Advocacy Foundation (FACAF), a non-governmental organization devoted to philanthropy, showcased its unwavering commitment to community service during the festive season by extending a helping hand to various segments of society. On a poignant Tuesday, FACAF went above and beyond to deliver support and joy to orphans, as well as 20 nursing mothers and their newborns born on Christmas day at the Benin Central Hospital.

Pastor David Uwoghiren, the esteemed Director of FACAF, articulated that this benevolent gesture was intricately designed to provide solace to families, uplift the downtrodden, and bring cheer to hapless children during the yuletide season. During a meeting with the press at the Benin Central Hospital, where the organization presented gift items to newborns and their mothers, Uwoghiren underscored that this visit was a manifestation of extending the joy of the season to those within the hospital walls.

Uwoghiren further elucidated that it has become a cherished tradition of the foundation to pay visits to newborns and expectant mothers in hospitals across the state during the Yuletide. Expressing heartfelt sentiments, he emphasized that the foundation’s outreach extended even to those in orphanages, highlighting the profound love and care that enveloped all individuals, irrespective of their circumstances. Uwoghiren reflected on the success of this initiative, stating, “This is the fourth edition of this project, and it keeps getting better every year. By the grace of God, we hope to continue this great vision assigned to us.”

In the spirit of spreading love during the festive season, the foundation reached out to 20 mothers and their babies. The goodwill didn’t stop at the hospital; the group also made heartwarming visits to two orphanage homes in the city, namely the Aid People Change Charity organization and orphanage home located at Obakhawaye Street, Benin City, and the Iwinosa orphanage home, also situated in Benin City.

Reflecting on the essence of the season, Uwoghiren articulated, “Christ is the reason for the season, and it’s a season to share that same love that Christ shared with us all.” These sentiments were echoed by Cadmus Atake-Enade, a dedicated member of the foundation, who emphasized the commitment to bringing smiles to the faces of orphans, underscoring that the season of love extends to everyone.

Mrs. Asia Osagie, the Coordinator of the People Aid People Change Home, expressed profound gratitude to the foundation for their generous donations to the children. She acknowledged the foundation’s consistent efforts in remembering and caring for the less privileged in the orphanage, demonstrating love and compassion consistently.

Conclusion: yuletide

As the year’s events drew to a close, the foundation members visited the Iwinosa orphanage home once again, presenting the children with not only gifts but also essential food items and toiletries. This comprehensive act of kindness encapsulates FACAF’s enduring commitment to making a positive impact and spreading love within the community, especially during the festive season, yuletide.
