According to an Entrepreneurng report, Liang Huili, the wife of the Chinese ambassador to Nigeria, advocated for increased female engagement in all spheres of society on Tuesday. According to her, Nigerian women’s participation in a variety of areas will result in more accomplishments aimed at advancing the nation’s development.

However, in honor of International Women’s Day, Huili gave a lecture titled “Briefing on Progress of Women’s Cause in China” in which she made this statement. She stated that the involvement of women from both nations boosted the bilateral bond between Nigeria and China.

According to Huili, the significant advancements in bilateral collaboration between Nigeria and China in recent years would not have been possible without the full involvement of women on both sides.
“A new chapter in national development between Nigeria and China is about to begin. Our bilateral cooperation would undoubtedly achieve more goals and benefit the two peoples more if women from both nations participated more actively.”
Again, she expressed her delight at the Chinese Embassy’s recent efforts to help foundations or civic organizations that work to enhance the lives of women, girls, and other vulnerable groups in Nigeria.

Briefing on the development of women’s cause in China, the Ambassador’s wife noted that the Beijing 1995 conference brought about a turning point in gender equality.
According to Huili, “The United Nations organized the world conferences on women. The fourth and final session was held in Beijing in 1995. There were then several five-year reviews.

The Beijing World Conference on Women is regularly acknowledged and mentioned in documents and other contexts today because it is seen as a pivotal event in the history of the worldwide movement for gender equality. 40% of the labor force is made up of women.
