With the recent increase in petrol prices to N897 per litre, the cost of fuel has grown by 460 percent in the 15 months since President Bola Tinubu took office on May 29, 2023.
The recent raise is the 30th adjustment of fuel prices in 51 years, commencing with General Yakubu Gowon’s hike from 6 to 8.45 kobo in 1973.
